Ring Time
When I went to see my ring at Tiffany’s last weekend, there were only three Novos on display. One was 1.03 carat, the other was .6 and there was a tiny one for .3 I would be seriously insulted if I ever saw such a tiny diamond on my ring. Anyways, the 1.03 carat one seemed a bit too big for my finger. In addition, keeping in mind the tax imposed on the 1.0 carat limit, I have decided to look at some rings which are .7 or .8 or .9 carat. The salesman at Tiffany called to say that he would order some more tomorrow. Yay!!!!
I also met a work colleague who said he got his engagement ring from Hatton Gardens. Perhaps thats a cheaper alternative and obviously you get a wider range of rings as its the diamond mecca of London. Hatton gardens is in between Chauncery Lane and Farringdon (in case anyone ever wants to go there) Theres also a lovely flower shop right opposite Farringdon tube station (does beautiful bonquets for 15-20 pounds)
Another friend of mine said that once I start working for a law firm, people get so competitive about wedding and rings. To that I say ‘ those are the people who get expensive divorces’
