I’ve received another email from my friend’s sister in Mumbai who trades diamonds. She said it takes upto 10 days to make a diamond ring and I would actually have to pick the diamond myself as it is such an important piece of jewelry. She didnt want to make the decision herself. I agree, as I need to see the diamond and gage if it suits me. The 10 day wait has discouraged me already
My fiance’s work colleague suggested he buy a diamond in Thailand as she had …
So I’ve been corresponding with Kiran from Cara Jewellers in Dubai and my friend’s sister in Mumbai about diamonds. I’ve decided to offer all the options to my fiance and let him decide if he still wants to put the order in for the Tiffany Novo ring or to design one on our own.
Kiran has been really helpful, even sent me a picture of two diamonds he could keep aside for me – a 1.03 carat and a 1.07 carat diamond. Since they are sealed by the International Gemological Institute …
Honeymoon and Travel »
I had lunch with my friends today. This was our first time out with our friends since the announcement of my engagement so I got lots of hugs and kisses. Everyone wanted to see my ring, which I didnt have, so I mumbled on about how it takes 2 months to make the ring for me as my finger sizes is too small. Secretly, I wished I had my ring to dazzle into everyones eyes. I compared my finger to other girls and just realised that some girls have even …

This morning, my fiance’s best friend, Ray, called. I picked up the call and we proceeded to have a lengthy conversation about weddings. Everything has become so confusing because there are so many choices and I dont know where to start. Ray had a wedding two years ago in Richmond Park and it was an lovely ceremony and day.
Ray said that I should first think about a venue: abroad/in the UK. He said outside London, there are some amazing places which are substantially cheaper than in London. He said he …
I was at Tiffany’s yesterday to order my ring. The salesman had ordered three rings for me. One was too big, about a 1.13 carat. I really looked like a WAG with it. The .88 was perfect and although it was over my fiance’s budget, he told me to get whatever makes me happy. THENNNNN they told me the bad news – that it would take over 2 months to get the ring for me as resizing was not possible. My finger is too small and with the diamonds on …
When I went to see my ring at Tiffany’s last weekend, there were only three Novos on display. One was 1.03 carat, the other was .6 and there was a tiny one for .3 I would be seriously insulted if I ever saw such a tiny diamond on my ring. Anyways, the 1.03 carat one seemed a bit too big for my finger. In addition, keeping in mind the tax imposed on the 1.0 carat limit, I have decided to look at some rings which are .7 or .8 or …
I’ve been thinking of the Tiffany’s ring all week. But seeing the pricey tag – almost £8,500 – I’ve decided to look around. We went to Pravins on Regent Street high street and the saleswoman explained the three important Cs of a diamond – Clarity, Colour, Cut and Carat. For a brief introduction:
Clarity is the clearness or purity of the diamond.
Free from all inclusions or blemishes.
No inclusions visible at 10x magnification.
Very Very Slightly Included #1
Inclusions that are extremely difficult to locate at 10x.
Very Very Slightly Included #2
Inclusions that are …
Tiffany Novo Ring
So today my fiance and I went to Tiffanys to look at engagement rings. The salesman asked us if we looked anywhere and I said ‘ No we came straight here.’ I had looked at the Tifany’s website and thought the Legends ring would look divine. But when I actually wore it, it looked too big for my finger. My favourite is the Tiffany Novo Ring. It is their newest design with a cushion cut and was inspired by the famous 128.54 carat Tiffany diamond.
Only a diamond…

Most little girls imagine a wonderfully romantic proposal. Mine was over the phone and my boyfriend said ‘I’ll ask you now or in 10 years time, so you decide.”
Im shocked, excited, nervous, estatic and anxious all at the same time… basically, overwhelmed!
