Although its going to be a while before I look for a photographer, I collected a few useful questions to ask photographer. Mind you, you dont want to ask too many questions before he thinks you are too fussy and would be a horrible client:
How long have you been photographing weddings?
Are you insured for Professional Indemnity and Public Liability ?
How many pictures do you take on average ?
How long do you stay at the wedding ?
Do you charge extra for coming to the brides house or staying at the reception …

Today, I went with my fiance to Selfridges to try on the dress that I’ve been dreaming about but couldnt find on the sample sale stack. I called them and described the dress. The salewoman even looked at the Vera Wang website with me and said that it was a called informally ‘Three Roses dress’ because of the three roses that are gathered at the back. Anyways, they arranged to have the dress bought out for me as it was not on the sample sale. There is a 10% discount …

I wonder if any other Bridezilla hits the first wedding blues. Well mine happened yesterday when I went wedding dress shopping. As I mentioned on the blog, there is a Vera Wang sample sale at Selfridges.
I had an argument with my fiance as he didnt want me to buy a dress there. He said that I would only be looking at the label and that I wouldnt be thinking logically. He insisted that I take with me a ’sensible’ person as it I wasnt sensible enough!!! So I had to …

I saw another quirky idea on a wedding forum. One bride had asked guests to send a picture of themselves and people sent in an assortment, from baby pictures to passport photos. She then put them on standing clips on their table and asked people to find themselves (and their seats) at the wedding. This is a really creative alternative to table arrangements.
I absolutely love this idea and will request guests to send me photos in my invitations. I think it would be a really personal touch and everyone …

Get ‘Save the Date’ magnets – how clever – reminds people. I know my fiancé has trouble remembering dates.
Get someone to design your wedding logo. A friend of mine had her and her husband’s initials embossed on the invitations and thank you card. I think it looks really classy and unique. I dont have their invitation letters to scan but I found this one on the internet.
Do you think the initials MA look better or AM?

I’ve been watching a show called ‘Bridezilla’ on Discovery Channel every morning around 11 am. This morning, they followed the wedding day of a maniac woman. She was so stressed and bossy that her bridesmaid had to tell her not to talk to people like they were 5 years old. She wanted to be in control of every single thing and shouting at everyone for being incompetent. At one point, she grabbed the list from the wedding staff and insisted on telling guests where to sit.
I wonder if its a …

I was on a wedding blog and I saw a useful note about Wedding Flowers. The New Covent Garden Flower market sells flowers at whole sale prices and some brides go there to buy flowers. One of the brides said she bought flowers worth 40 pounds and it filled up her car. That is an absolute bargain considering that many people spend up to 500 pounds for flowers for their wedding.
I’m in love with white roses as they look very simple yet elegant. These are some the designs I like: …

I’ve gone cupcake crazy- I admit it. Ever since I thought about having cupcakes at weddings instead of the traditional wedding cake, I’ve loved that idea. I think it would be different and cheaper. Cupcakes cost on average around 2 pounds a piece, if you had 100, it would still be about 200 pounds, half the price of a cake.
Wouldnt it be lovely if I could replicate this:
I love Peyton & Bryne cupcakes but the last time I went there, I had their rasperry and lemon cupcake and it …

I should be studying for my final law exams but I always end up distracted when the internet is on. Yesterday, I woke up at 8 am to do work but ended up looking at wedding websites till 10 am. Thats two precious hours wasted! Anyways, last night, I was trying to stay up to finish the notes on the chapter I was reading when I stumbled upon a wedding group on facebook. And now instead of studying, Im posting on this website.
I was looking through the pictures of the …
