Tip for Table arrangements and seating

I’ve been watching a show called ‘Bridezilla’ on Discovery Channel every morning around 11 am. This morning, they followed the wedding day of a maniac woman. She was so stressed and bossy that her bridesmaid had to tell her not to talk to people like they were 5 years old. She wanted to be in control of every single thing and shouting at everyone for being incompetent. At one point, she grabbed the list from the wedding staff and insisted on telling guests where to sit.

I wonder if its a power trip thing because everyone is so afraid to spoil their special day. I can understand how stressful everything is but surely you have planners and friends to help out so you can relax and get ready? I’m hoping to get my fiance’s two sister to go early to the wedding venue and help decorate with flower and get my two brothers to help out with the clean up.

Anyways, I’ve learnt one thing: DO NOT LEAVE TABLE ARRANGEMENTS TILL LAST DAY OR EVEN DAY OF THE WEDDIN. This woman was making seating arrangements a few hours before her wedding. It was so stressful because people were RSVPing at the last moment and she had so many drafts.

I’ve decided that instead of dealing with seating arrangements, particularly where you are unsure how many will attend and if there are many complex social relationships you have to work around, just let people sit wherever they want. Also, have a buffet so that you dont have to deal with everyone’s specific dietary requirements, you can give everyone a choice.
