My fiance and I really want to go to Hong Kong and India to do some wedding shopping. Or even New York. The UK is just over priced and doesnt offer the range that other countries offer. For example, in the US, you get Vera Wang and Monique Lhullier dresses at different sizes. When I went to try them on here in the UK, they are all either Size 2 or Size 12 and then they take 6 months or so to alter it to your size. Its a bit …

I noticed a lot of readers are searching for ‘Wedding Cupcakes.’ I was reading the latest edition of “Brides” (US version) and it had a whole feature on wedding cupcakes. They said its a new way to make the wedding quirky. However, they do warn that a cupcake does not have the same ceremonial air that cutting a wedding cake has. So on my favourite blog, I saw an idea for creative cupcake stands. Here, they painted ceramic pots and glued them together to create a cupcake stand. I think this would work if you had about 10 cupcakes.

To fit in more capcakes, covering boxes and then piling them on top of each other with cupcakes at the side looks so pretty. You could also use wrapping paper that matches the colour scheme. I think I’ll use this idea.

This morning, I read some interesting facts about love. I also saw these instructions how to make fortune cookies. I thought about combining the two. This way, your guests would have interesting table conversations, like when we open our Christmas crackers at our office Christmas parties. I also like the Chinese element because it reflects my fiance’s culture.

1. Men who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don’t.

2. People are more likely to tilt their heads to the right when kissing instead of the …

Yesterday, I had an appointment at Browns Bridal. I’ve seen Monique Lhuillier’s dresses online and this store is the only one in London that stocks her brand. When I first made my appointment, the woman on the phone said curtly “Do you realise that our dresses start at £3,000″ I found that a bit rude as women are prepared to spend quite a lot on their wedding dresses and a brand like Monique Lhuilliers would be reasonably expected to be quite expensive. Perhaps I need to put on a fake …
