Fortune Cookie as Wedding Favour
My fiance’s sister just came back from Hong Kong and brought back the wedding favours from a wedding held there. I think they are the nicest wedding favours ever!
Its basically a silver coloured fortune cookie which ha a ribbon with their names and dates, some hersey kisses chocolates in them and wrapped in beautiful silk.
So I went looking on the internet to find a similar chinese fortune cookie and the cheapest ones were $10 (£5) and I had to ship them from the US. I think if I ordered them, the total cost of the favour would be roughly £10 ($20) which becomes quite a ‘fortune’ when I consider all the guests. A friend of mine suggested that I only give the girls this gift as guys dont care about wedding favours or even bother to take them. I think its a really good idea but I dont want to be seen as saving and scrimping on things. I’d rather buy a nice present for everyone than only for half the guests.
So I’ve been looking for other presents that will reflect my fiance’s chinese heritage.
