Buying drinks from Cash and Carry Stores

24 November 2008 825 views No Comment

This past weekend, my fiance and I went to a local Cash and Carry store in Greenwich to buy our year’s supply of toiletries. Cash and Carry stores offer items at trade prices. The only catch is that you’ll have to buy a whole pack or a lot and you may have to pay a subscription fee. I remember last year, the subscription fee at Costco was £20. You will make up for this expenditure than this if you go atleast twice a year. However, be sure to compare prices from your cheap supermarket because they might just cost the same.

We have membership at Makros as my father in law owns a takeaway. Whilst there, I found lots of drinks and quickly noted down the prices. If you have an opportunity to go to these cash and carry stores, you will be saving heaps! However, do notes these prices do not include the 17.5% VAT. Well, with the news that the government plans to cut VAT down to 15%, you might be saving a few pounds here and there..

Here are the prices:

Strathmore Still/Sparkling Bottles of Water – 12 for £7.90

J2O 24 for 9.79

J2O 32 mixed collection for 14.27

Coke 30 for 5.49 (even at cheap supermarkets like Asda, this is £8 so you’re saving lots)

Beer Asian Collection 24 for 15.99
