Creative RSVP
Instead of the usual RSVP options of attending or not attending, I scoured the web for creative ways to RSVP. It would make the wedding guests chuckle and show that you have thought about small details for your wedding. Here are some:
* Gladly attend
* Regretfully decline
* Regretfully attend
* Ethusiastically decline
* Will decline to respond but ultimately attend
* Think you are trying to wrest a gift out of me.
This one proved quite popular but I think there are some problems with it. The “Will decline to respond but ultimately attend” still requires someone to select this option so the person is responding actually. Also, the last option doesnt really tell the bride and groom if the guest is attending or not. I heard that one bride wanted to tick off “Regretfully attend” for some of her fiance’s friends. I wish I could do that for one of my fiance’s friends who is only attending to eat some food!
Okay here are some more:
There’s also the whole idea of going with your theme. Like…. we are both into music (we met in orchestra)… so we are also thinking of: __ Strike up the band! We’re there __ Missed my cue, Sorry can’t make it.
___ Accepts with pleasure
___ Accepts with pleasure mixed with a vague sense of unease
___ Accepts with the sure and certain knowledge of making a spectacle of myself on the dance floor
___ Declines with regret because I’d really like to see others doing the Chicken Dance and generally looking foolish
____ Will be there with bells on!
____ Will be there, but bells don’t go with my outfit.
____ Cannot make it, wish I could be wearing bells.
___ Cannot make it, have heard that some people will be wearing bells.
__ In body
__In spirit
__ Accepts, Fo sho! Ready to get my freak on. __ Declines, Gotta punk out, yo. Don’t hate!
We’ve decided on this one because its still different from the traditional one but has some formal aspects to it. Also, the regrets does not make us so sad for our guests who cannot make it.
__We are delighted to attend.
__Unfortunately, we can only celebrate from afar.
