Review of Bride Wars

So I went to see Bride Wars on wednesday night with another friend. I expected it to be more wedding planning but it turned out to be more about the relationship between the two characters, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. The two have been best friends during their childhood but when they turn into worst enemies when they find that the Wedding Planner booked their wedding dates for the same date and same venue. The movie did have a lot of good ideas about wedding dresses, particularly Kate’s dress which I believe is called the Swan Lake from the Vera Wang Collection. It is a strapless gown that puffs up. My friend said that she would have chosen a longer veil for her wedding after seeing how beautiful it looked on Kate and Anne. Another lesson to be learnt from the movie was that you should choose the dress you want to wear. Anne Hathaway originally chose the Swan Lake dress but she wore her mother’s wedding dress to please her mother, only to find out that the mother would have wanted her to choose any dress she wanted. I liked the part in the movie which shows how couples choose their wedding bands. Little tasks like these can demonstrate the fundamental similarities or differences between couples. In conclusion, was a good chick flick and I loved the bags and apartments featured in the movie.
