Roses vs Peonies vs Tulips

So I’ve been thinking about the flowers for my wedding. Essentially there are two sets, the bonquets that my bridesmaids and I will hold and the table arrangements. I absolutely love peonies but keeping in mind that they are actually June flowers, by the time its August, I will probably have to buy the more expensive imported variety. But then again, the advantage of peonies are that they are really big and so you wouldnt need to use as many as roses.
Roses on the other hand, are the traditional flower of love. I have seen many brides hold bonquets of roses but it looks a bit too cliche and also sometimes the red roses look too overpowering. White roses are very romantic and soft but in some cultures, like the Chinese, white flowers symbolise death.
Finally, I looked at tulips. The problem with tulips are that they do not last too long as roses do and they also grow up to 2 cm. So you would have to keep that in mind when doing the flower arrangements the day or night before. I’ve decided on the tulips because they are in between the traditional roses and the whimsical poenies. They sometimes open up like the peonies so they have that beautiful effect. Also, tulips have the advantage of coming in a variety of colours. In keeping with the green and gold colour theme, I am thinking of having yellow tulips on the table with either green or white vases. I’m not sure about the prices of the tulips but even in supermarkets, I’ve noticed that a bunch costs £5 so I think they wont be too expensive. Tulips also look great as bonquets:
