Cupcake Wrappers
I stumbled upon these cupcake wrappers on another bride’s blog and thought they were so whimsical and sweet. However, one must note that you cannot actually bake the cupcakes in these cupcake wrappers, you bake them in the cupcake cases and then drop them into these wrappers for that special touch.
The premier store which sells the cupcake wrapper – Estilo Weddings. They have a huge variety of cupcake wrappers and I can just imagine that they add the “wow” factor. But they are not cheap – $12 for 10 of them and about $48 for 50. I calculated that its about 75 pence or a pound for each of these paper cupcake wrappers and my fiance and I dont think they are worth it.
I looked to find a UK alternative and they are even more expensive. On Lindaycakes.co.uk, they are about £10 for a pack of 12.
Another UK retailer, SplatCooking has these for £12 for a pack of 12.
On top of these costs and keeping in mind that I would need about 100 cupcakes, I think it can get very expensive and perhaps even more expensive than the cupcakes themselves. On the other hand, your photos of your cupcakes would really stand out and weddings are supposed to be an indulgence, right?
