Veil material shopping

My cousin and I went to a sweet little shop called “The Silk Society” off one of the back alleys off Oxford Street to look at some veil materials. As soon as I stepped inside, I was so impressed by the sheer variety and colours of all the materials available. I can just imagine why my cousin loved the place so much. Mantilla Veils

My cousin, the fashion designer, has spring break and as a birthday present for me, I’ve asked if he could make a veil for me. I’ve had a lot of difficulty trying to find a veil to match my dress. Pronovias at Bond Street, where I bought my dress, called to say they had the matching veil. Cupcake Wrappers

I stumbled upon these cupcake wrappers on another bride’s blog and thought they were so whimsical and sweet. However, one must note that you cannot actually bake the cupcakes in these cupcake wrappers, you bake them in the cupcake cases and then drop them into these wrappers for that special touch.

Another Chinese Banquet Invitation

A few weeks ago, we received one of our friend’s wedding invitation. It came in a beautiful chocolate coloured envelope that perfectly matched the invitation. I love the use of ribbons on the invitation that opens up. However I was shocked when I saw a Chinese red envelope – used for putting money for the couple – enclosed.
