So I thought I’d share the list I’ve draw up for our bridesmaids and groomsmen as they’ve asked for a list of their responsibilities:

So Alan and I prepared a list of things we’d like to help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. Originally, I thought I’d write a list of things I need help and ask what you prefer to do but a married man told me that it was easier to just assign tasks to people and to be precise. If anyone is uncomfortable with the task that I outlined, please let me know. I tried to match it up with what everyone’s talents and temperment.

Ray:
In lead up to wedding : Pick up Chair Covers and Deliver back
On wedding day: Best man speech, drive everyone to venue

Kit:
In lead up to wedding: Make cupcake stand, make gift card holder
On wedding day: Supervise alcohol at wedding (otherwise we will go bankrupt!)

Jigme:
In lead up to wedding: Getting the men’s ties.
On wedding day: Registering guests, managing the photoshoot, play the trumpet (PLEASE!!!!)

Ola:
In lead up to wedding: Getting the men’s ties.
On wedding day: Managing Chair covers and sashes, ushering guests

Pauline:
In lead up to wedding: Hen do, flowers (market and making them on friday)
On wedding day: Registering guests, look after cupcake and the cupcake topper, some photos

Julia:
In lead up to wedding: Making stationary
On wedding day: Table arrangements, ushering guests, arranging the photo line.

Linda:
In lead up to wedding: Hen do
On wedding day: Bridesmaid’s speech, look after money for the harpist, stylist, managing the bouncers

Just to give you a rough idea about what it will be like on the day:

7.00 – Ray please pick us up. Kit, Linda, Pauline and Julia can you please make your way to the venue or come to our house to be picked up by Ray.
8.00 – Venue opens up for us, ten waiters available to help us so use them if you need extra hands. Alan – overall management
8.00-9.00 – everyone doing their tasks, parents to be picked up, bride to get ready
9.00 – Photographer arrives
9.00 – Bridesmaids get ready with stylist
9.30 – Lama Lobsang (Buddhist leader) arrives
10.00 – Two mums get make up done, Groomsmen get ready
10 – 10.30- Photos of bridesmaids and groomsmen
10.30- Guests arrive. Bouncers outside. May need ushers to stay on street to point way as I have written wrong instructions on invitations, opps.

I am sure I have missed a few things, please send suggestions/complaints/compliments/abuse/presents/ our way….. only 67 days to go now!!! m and a xxx
