This past weekend, I was at the Kensington Roof Gardens where they had a vendor fair. With free drinks and a gift bag, how could I resist? I even took my photographer so he could check out the venue before our wedding. I took some photos of two cupcake stands. Considering that there were only about 10-15 vendors at the event, and two of them were cupcake makers has really convinced me that there is a growing market for wedding cupcakes. I overheard one of the ladies say that the cupcakes were 450 pounds for 100 cupcakes - ridiculously priced in my humble opinion. My fiance says that its the “wedding” factor that doubles the prices and then another doubling up because of the posh Kensington location.

I thought the first cupcake stall was lovely but not as professional looking as I expected it to be. I think even the cupcakes were were taught at the cupcake course a few days ago would come out better. What I did like is the decorations around the cupcake stand and the stand itself. Maybe some couples will find it worth 450 pounds. I know that some people spend thousands on the wedding cake so maybe to someone else, its a real bargain:

The other cupcake stand had different styled cupcakes. I think these are made with square cake pieces and then sugar paste all around it. They look looovely though!
