Wedding Books
When I first started researching about weddings, a friend suggested the Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine. Unfortunately, they are published in America so buying them here in the UK costs about £4 each. In the US, I think you could get them for a quarter of this price and free shipping. When I saw how lovely the ideas were, I was almost tempted to order them and make my cousin mail them from the US. Then I realised that Martha Stewart had a book on weddings published. I bought it immediately and it has been a source of great inspiration and help. I’ve collected a list of all the useful books I’ve discovered in my “Bookstore” section of this bog (top left bar)
You can tell by all the yellow tagging that I found quite a few pages to be very inspirational!
Some of the weddings are harder to reproduce because of the costs – for example, I was blown away by how beautiful the trees in this wedding matched the silk tulle of the bride – but with it costing about £30/meter, you can guess that it would be a bit too extravagant. But then again, maybe if you tried using synthetic tulle, you could still have that effect on a budget.
The pages on button holes and wedding flowers will no doubt save lots of money – unless you find a reasonable florist.
I resist my urge to upload more photos bearing in my mind a possible copyright infringement..
