Wedding Flowers
Since our trip to the New Covent Garden Market, I’ve been thinking of making the flowers for the wedding myself considering how cheap they are. The average UK bride spends £600 for flowers. I saw an American TV show called “Bridezillas” where the bride paid the florist $ 6,000 in CASH. A bit dodgy I would think! Anyways, I dont intend to spend a ridiculous amount of money on my flowers. I was thinking of the lovely yellow roses and putting them in a square vase. I saw a vase of roses in Kensington for £35. It was so simple and classy:
Or if I wanted the roses to come out fuller, I could consider this type of arrangement:

I nee to find some green foilage because I like the effect of the first one, where you cant see the rose stems. These are the roses I was thinking of using:

This is my idea of using gardena for the bridesmaid’s bonquet:

Or a collection of smaller bunches of gardena:

So bridesmaids – Pauline, Julia and Linda – let me know which colour bonquet you would like. Im thinking the green would be to matchy with your green dresses. Would you prefer white bonquet or yellow ones?
And for the bridal bonquet, since I cant have my favourite peonies, the alternative was to use Columbian roses:

Not pink, but Im undecided between a white bonquet or a light green and white bonquet:

Obviously, I wouldnt want all those wires/sticks coming out of my bonquet!
And if I mix and matched the Columbian flowers with the idea for the square vases, I could do something like this:

Or do you think it looks slightly sloppy and its better to cover the stems? I also thought of this crazy idea to have a small goldfish in there. Maybe it would die. oh no!!!!

All of these flowers are quite beautiful. I prefer the first option where you don’t actually see the stems. Looks much more elegant. I love your picks and can’t wait to see the actual wedding day photos.
