Money/Card Boxes
Last week, I was drooling over the photos of money/card boxes from the US. But I almost fell off my chair when I realised that they were going for upwards of $120 !!!!!!!!
I realise this is an important item that brides forget and I certainly dont get my cards stolen at the wedding reception. At our engagement party, I lost track of the presents and cards that I am sure some may have even dropped on the way.

So I decided to make the boxes myself. I enlisted the help of the most fabulous gift wrap/craft friend I have. We actually spent hours and hours making them. First we had to figure out how to cut them in such a way that the envelopes would fall to the bottom and so we can collect them.
We made two – one in a Tiffany blue with white ribbon and bow and one in gold with red ribbons. I think the first one is a classic one and the second one is fitting for Chinese banquets.
As I am still undecided about the wedding box that I will use, I’ve decided to list the two boxes I made on ebay so that I can check if it would work as a business. Will post more boxes as I make them. I will probably also make them in gold and green for my wedding reception and a replicate the gold and red for the Chinese banquet the next day.
