White-House wedding!
Having blogged about the White House reception last week, I thought I’d share some photos and details of an almost-white-house wedding. On May 10, 2008, Jenna Bush (daughter of George Bush, then President of the US) and Henry Hager exchanged wedding vows at the Priarie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, Texas.

Breaking trading, the first family wedding was not broadcast live. But the White House did share some details and released 11 photos in the days after the wedding. I understand that for such a famous family, they wouldnt have wanted it to turn into a media circus. I can only imagine this is the reason why Jenna and Henry chose her father’s ranch for privacy.

It has been reported that the President and his daughter danced to “You are so Beautiful” and the newly weds danced to “Lovin my Baby’s Eyes.”

The bride wore an absolutely simple and stunning Oscar de la Renta. It reminds me of the Monique Lhullier dress I had seen at Browns.

The rehearsal dinner coincided with the groom’s 30th birthday. Interestingly, the groom was once a White House intern himself.
Bush called it a “spectacular wedding”, what more can a father ask for?
