Legal Ceremony Wedding Dresses
With a separate legal ceremony and a wedding reception all the rage now (or as I like to call it ‘exchange’ and then ‘completion’ ceremonies, my best friend and I discussed her upcoming legal ceremony. Whilst she considers her wedding reception to be held next year as ‘her wedding’, she also understands that her fiance’s family consider the legal ceremony as just as important. I recalled my legal ceremony - I was sick, wore a skimpy outfit in cold british weather and had held a bonquet of flowers from Marks & Spencers, the grocery store …. hardly glamourous! But it was still a very important and touching event as I cried like a baby as I said my vows. So my best friend agreed with her sister who said that although the ceremony may not be important to her, she shouldnt regret not making more effort.
I advised her that if she wanted to keep her legal ceremony short and simple (and the costs low) she should just concentrate on her dress, make up and the bonquet. She said she wont be wearing ‘the wedding gown’ but would still look for a white dress. I’m incredibly jealous of all the American brides because you have J Crew, the store across the Atlantic. I have seen some gorgeous white wedding dresses for as little as $200 on some websites. After scouring the internet, I present to you some of my favourites. Linda - take note
Chiffon and organza dune gown which retails for $895.00 item 20046

This one is just beautiful as a grecian goddess (and even better if you have gorgeous shoulders to show off)
Silk tricotine Gracie gown which retails for $450 (model number 96062)
I love the simple crowl neck and back details on this dress - seems so simple and yet so elegant. This is the Silk tricotine Robin long dress which costs $325 and model number 11831.

and finally, if you wanted to buy something a little more special and increase your budget a little:

In fact, if you wanted to be a little more daring, you could dye the sash to match your wedding colours. However, I think a pastel version of your wedding colour would be advisable…. something like peach or light yellow would just be so lovely! Enjoy!

thanks for the ideas my dear! I will look into it.
