After the last blog update where I rambled on my cupcake high, I’ve decided to let the cupcake/cakes speak for themselves. Here are some cupcakes from Cakes4fun in Putney where they had the most amazing cupcakes/cake displays. Enjoy sweeties!
something a tad Mariah Carey with the butterfly theme:
Or something a little ‘Alice and Wonderland’ a la Ashlee Simpson-Wentz perhaps?
Hmmm… maybe more suitable for a baby shower or baby girl’s birthday? or some brides who have a serious pink and chocolate craving?

As a self confessed cupcake maniac, I had no choice but to give in to my addiction and I signed up for a cupcake making course at Cakes4fun in Putney, London. I’ve been to the course before and enjoyed the experience. This year, on the flower cupcake course, I felt I gained more from the knowledge of the teacher and the techniques taught. Last year, the fondant icing technique was not very useful and practical to replicate at home whereas this weekend’s course in flower cupcakes are so much more …

I saw a photoshoot of some brides in gorgeous hair accessories like headbands. I also stopped by at the Accessorize store in London and saw that they have a whole range of gorgeous hair bands and bandos, mainly featuring coloured plummage. I guess this is well timed for the British wedding season. I went on their website earlier today www.monsoon.co.uk (because Monsoon owns Accessorize) and they have a ‘bridal accessories’ section. I really adore the bandos because they are so much more flexible than the Alice bands. Here are some …

If you’ve read this wedding blog more than once, then you’ll probably figure out that Im a pretty big cupcake fanatic. I was up last night at 2 in the morning baking 32 of these little babies for my birthday party… and of course when I am waiting for the little ones to bake, I found myself googling wedding cupcakes…. to find another innovative way to make wedding cupcakes… or cupcakes for any occasion for a cupcaholic like me!
Here is a way to tier cupcakes on top of cupcakes. Remember …

I once read a quote “Presentation is everything”. Something about Coloured Lined Envelopes looks so posh and luxurious. Its one of my dreams in life to one day own my own wrapping paper and card business and produce writing sets in the most luxurious of all materials and colours…. In an age of emails and texts, I think a simple and sincere handwritten thank you note is so hard to find and something like this would add a touch of class to your correspondence.
Anyways, back to weddings, if your wedding …

I’ve been meaning to post up photos from the 2010 Oscars where we saw a host of celebrities wearing white dresses which could easily translate into wedding dress speculation/inspiration – whichever side of the entertainment industry you are from!
Here are some of my favourites:
Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive
Amanda Seyfried also in Armani Prive
Remember Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s wedding that featured Armani from start to finish? She wore an off-the-shoulder Armani gown with an ivory silk train adorned in Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery and accessorized her …

I was just watching ‘Have you seen the Morgans’ starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. I actually enjoyed the movie, clearly my hubby voted with his feet twenty minutes into the movie. Aside from commenting on the aging movie stars, I did love the part where SJP recounts her wedding vows (which were on my wedding website as well!) taken from Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116:
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! …

My new work place is so much more formal than the last one due to the number of client visits possible. Even on a friday, I notice almost all my colleagues are still wearing a crisp shirt, statement tie and the all important cufflink. I always like to see a man who can match his cufflinks to his tie and I’m even happier to see some unusual looking cufflinks like a rugby ball shaped cufflinks that I noted last week…. which then led me to think about wedding cufflinks. And …
