I’ve been meaning to post up photos from the 2010 Oscars where we saw a host of celebrities wearing white dresses which could easily translate into wedding dress speculation/inspiration - whichever side of the entertainment industry you are from!

Remember Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s wedding that featured Armani from start to finish? She wore an off-the-shoulder Armani gown with an ivory silk train adorned in Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery and accessorized her gown with an ivory tulle floor-length veil and ivory silk shoes. As for Mr Cruise, he wore a navy blue tuxedo from the Giorgio Armani Hand Made to Measure collection. The jacket label read, “Giorgio Armani for Tom Cruise”.

The bride and groom’s mothers and sisters were also clothed in Armani along with their adorable children Connor, Isabella and Suri.

OK back to the red carpet, Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham (my favourite of the bunch and something I could imagine myself wearing)

Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka (I must admit that I’m strangely attracted to the name of the label itself)

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa (I dispute the choice to award her the Oscar but I love her choice of dress!)
