I love stationary almost as much as cupcakes and I think wedding guests notice the smallest of details in the wedding starting with the invitations. The invitation itself represents the wedding and you can usually tell who skims and saves on their wedding depending on the type of invitations you receive. I’ve received post cards and one page handout invites that definitely set the tone for the wedding. Last year, I visited my friends home and she had three wedding invites on the mantle above the fireplace and was referring …

Ever since we had our wedding, I’ve been itching to throw another celebration but cannot seem to find an occasion that would deserve that sort of preparation. So I annoy my husband once in a while and ask him if he’s been planning my 30th birthday celebrations even though its almost 3 years away! I’d like to do something a little crazy but fun with a Alice in Wonderland themed party!

I purchased this beautiful Pronovias Nerveo gown from the Pronovias Flagship store in London New Bond Street. The retail price was £1,410 (about $2,100). This gown was altered to fit a size 4/6 and length kept as I wanted to sell it on. It is in excellent condition and I have had it professionally cleaned.
Description: All lace fitted bridal gown with pleated empire bodice, with a ruffle hem; tulle with lace appliques. I am including in the price a beautiful floor length veil that was lovingly made my cousin, a …

A neat little favour idea is to have favour tins filled with your favourite sweets - jelly beans are my favourite! I read that almonds (specifically Jordan almonds) are traditional wedding favours for over 3,000 years in Greek, Mediterranean, French and Italian weddings. The almonds came to signify celebrations as ancient Romans used sweets like almonds for weddings and births. The bittersweet almond taste is said to symbolise life itself. The sugar coating symbolises the hope that life will be blessed with more sweetness than bitterness. Interestingly, the favours were …

I was out shopping at Sloane Square this afternoon - so much more relaxing than the maddening crowds of Oxford Street. I also noticed that some of the well heeled residents of Chelsea are walking models themselves. Anyways, I saw a Peter Jones display with all their wedding items. Arent the heart hangings just delicate and ethereal?
Once inside, I noticed that Peter Jones (which is also known as John Lewis elsewhere in the country) had some buntings you could buy ready made. They are called Spring Fete Buntings and retail …

Get your nerd on and use Scrabble to add something unique to your wedding by having Scrabble name tags. I looooved the game as a child and I would have loved to use this idea. On the positive side, this type of name tag offers flexibility to change on the day of the wedding itself - there is always atleast one cancellation/fight/emergency on the day of the wedding and some table arrangements need to be changed. On the flip side, Im sure other brides are also worried about not having …

I’ve always been a fan of MOO business cards because they are so unique and beautifully crafted. Instead of the usual sized business cards, they are super slim and have a matt photo finish (always a good way to stand out in a professional way)
I stumbled upon a friend’s photo album where they used the MOO business card at their daughter’s birthday. I’m so impressed by the original way they utilised the MOO products. I think bridezillas could steal this idea and have a photo of the bride and groom …

At some point, I know I have to do a post about celebrity engagement rings. Admit it, you too have seen the celebrity rocks and their even bigger personalities to match. Paris Hilton once said she gets a work out from wearing her engagement ring itself!
I like to think of engagement rings like Mr Big in Sex and City - something sweet to seal the deal. Just in the case of celebrities, they can afford to be bigger and brighter.
Starting at the top, Beyonce was given a 18 …
