A neat little favour idea is to have favour tins filled with your favourite sweets – jelly beans are my favourite! I read that almonds (specifically Jordan almonds) are traditional wedding favours for over 3,000 years in Greek, Mediterranean, French and Italian weddings. The almonds came to signify celebrations as ancient Romans used sweets like almonds for weddings and births. The bittersweet almond taste is said to symbolise life itself.
