Rule 1: Never hesitate to ask. I’ve always believed in ‘if you dont ask, you dont get’ just as ‘if you dont dream, you dont achieve.’ BUT not in a greedy-in-your-face-vulgar way please! Even if you are refused, you should still smile and thank the person because they may just find a room for you afterwards. When we went to Paris for our trip, I asked the hotel manager and as soon as she found out that I was Tibetan, she upgraded our room to one with a view of …

My husband and I have gained an extra 10 kilos of body weight since we first met – we honestly look pregnant (both of us!) but I guess thats what happens when you are in love (or in my case: eat too many cupcakes) So i was inspired when I read this news article in the Daily mail about this groom who lost 9 stones after his wedding photos.
Karl Indge, 25, an engineer was 20 stone 9lbs when he married his high school sweetheart Kim, 22, in April 2009. …

I thought this would be an innovative wedding favour – getting towels made. One couple made unique pieces by professionally printed onto high-quality super-soft organic cotton tea towels. Showponey.co.uk can make these if you send them a digital image of you and your groom standing side on so your silhouettes can be accurately traced. The silhouettes will be added to the tea towel along with your names and the date of your wedding. The tea towels are available in 4 colours – Burnt Orange, Maroon, Teal and Grass Green, and …

I saw these matchboxes at Cox & Cox’s websites. They look quite simple and sweet actually. The boxes contain the Oxford dictionary definition of marriage with the words ‘The Perfect Match’. Each box contains 24 safety-strike matches – useful for lighting anything from candles, gel candles, sparklers, and a great keepsake. A pack of 50 boxes cost £36… so quite a cheap and cheerful wedding favour.
Other couples have personalised their match boxes with their names:
If you were looking for some quotes to incorporate on the match boxes (warning: these …

With wedding season in full swing, I find more red routemaster buses passing by every day. I always thought it was an original and cool way to ferry your wedding guests from the church/registrar to the reception.
In addition to the gimmick of an iconic London tradition, the red routemaster bus offers many advantages. Firstly, there are more seats on the bus than hiring a fleet of cars. Typically, these buses fit about 64-72 seats and I can imagine more guests can stand in between. It is also a convenient …

I know it must seem a bit silly for me to pose this question but have you seen the sculptor of the LOVE sign with LO on top of VE? It is just so cute! Unless its trade marked, it would make such a cute favour as a candle or bookshelf stand or just a sculptor by itself. I’ve seen one of these at the art museum TATE but it retails for something like £40 and I thought it would make a lovely housewarming present for one of my design …

This is it – the most impressive desert table I have ever seen – just absolutely gorgeous in every square inch – starting from the pink colour scheme, the cupcakes, peonies, the sweets. I am definitely getting this for my big 30th birthday… even though its 3 years away! Well when you have finished throwing a wedding, you have to look for another excuse to throw a desert table this gorgeous… and best of all, I will be able to bake my own cupcakes!!! Yes the cupcakes in these pictures …

With the American independence day just around the corner, it is no suprise that any couple having 4th July as their wedding date would also choose the true American colours of blue, red and white! (Very Tommy Hillfiger by the way) Also, the nautical theme has taken over the fashion world so you would find yourself very in vogue by choosing the same scheme.
So here are pictures of how one bride and groom incorporated these very American colours… and their wedding is coming up this weekend (I bet they cant …
