Red Routemaster Bus for transport
With wedding season in full swing, I find more red routemaster buses passing by every day. I always thought it was an original and cool way to ferry your wedding guests from the church/registrar to the reception.
In addition to the gimmick of an iconic London tradition, the red routemaster bus offers many advantages. Firstly, there are more seats on the bus than hiring a fleet of cars. Typically, these buses fit about 64-72 seats and I can imagine more guests can stand in between. It is also a convenient way to keep the congregation together – so your Aunt Sally wont get lost and you wont have to deal with all the harrassed phone calls. The buses also offer a way for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of your wedding location.

Bus companies are now offering the opportunity to decorate the bus. I’ve seen many buses with balloons, ribbons and personalised messages. Check out Katie Price’s wedding bus last weekend:

And finally, I think guests would appreciate how organised and thoughtful you have been by ordering the routemaster bus. I attended a wedding last year where the bride and groom had a photoshoot at Regent’s park and the wedding reception was held in Russell Square. Despite being very wealthy, they didnt arrange transport for the wedding guests. Some of them had to travel on the London buses in their finest and others had to pay London black cabs. If they had ordered a routemaster bus, they would have recieved many compliments and no doubt, their wedding would have been even more fun than it already was!
