More details have emerged about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s big day on April 29, 2011!

Three hierarchies of the church will come together to bless the couple at Westminster Abbey. At 11 am, the Archbishop of Canterbury (the Head of the Chuch of England) will carry out the actual wedding ceremony. The Dean of Westminster, who is special to the family (as close friend of the late Princess Diana, the executor of her will, and the one who confirmed William at 12) will give the sermon. Finally, the Bishop of London will give the address.

In a break from tradition, Kate will arrive by car but will leave the wedding ceremony as a princess on a horse drawn carriage. There is speculation that a car was chosen as a security measure. Fans will be able to capture a glimpse of the couple whilst their carriage takes them from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

Once there, the Queen will host a formal and official wedding reception including members of the Royal Family, diplomats and other public figures. William and Kate are said to have invited many people from their roles in various charities. Also, a controversial figure, Fergie, former Duchess of York, who has been since ostracised by the Royal Family, will be invited to the wedding.

William has chosen to wear his official military uniform, like his father. Kate, meanwhile, has kept the world guessing. No word has been leaked about her designer of choice although her sister and her mother was spotted outside Bruce Oldfield’s bridal store…. they were not seen carrying any bags… no word if they sent deliveries to their Berkshire home or if the designer was making the Mother of the Bride and the Bridesmaid’s dress.

Bruce Oldfield made Samantha Cameron and Jemima Khan’s wedding dress. He was also one of Princess Diana’s favourite designers, clearly a step in the right direction for Kate in her new role as a princess!
