One of my favourite actresses, Reece Witherspoon, exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony with agent Jim Toth at her Ojai, California ranch on March 26. A hundred guests were treated to lavish accomodation at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

This is Reece’s second marriage as she was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe at the age of 24 (and seven months pregnant with Ava). Of her first marriage, she said diplomatically “I was so, so young. I was, like, ridiculously young. I learnt a lot, though. It was a excellent opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage and it’s not anything that I thought it was.You can’t say, ‘I don’t want to talk about that’. You just can’t. You’ve got to talk about it all.”

The gorgeous Reece wore a pink Monique Lhullier gown with a tulle skirt and chantilly lace bodice. Her little mini-me daughter Ava wore a matching custom Lhullier dress. The bride wore Jimmy Choo “Macy” sandals and then changed into a white silk Lhullier minidress. Other brides including Ashlee Simpson and Carrie Underwood have also chosen Lhullier for their big day. The groom and Reece’s son Deacon (whose father is Ryan Philippe) wore Rag & Bone suits.

Clearly, Reece and Jim have incorporated their children in every part of their ceremony and have now taken them on honeymoon to Belize! The children have been reported to ‘adore’ their step father  - now one big happy family!

I read that prior to the wedding, Reece had sent all her neighbours a thank you card for tolerating the music and papparazzi – isnt that just so thoughtful? I think thats a nice touch that you can copy if you have weddings in your backyard or in your compound. For a busy celebrity like Reece, that equates to good publicity – and blessings for a new life!
