Chair Garlands

One of the newest trends I noted this year was having floral chair garlands… if only for the bride and groom. You can ask your florist to make one with the photos I’ve found below or even make one yourself with a simple needle and thread and string them along:

These are easy to make because you just string the flowers:

Or you could have your florist make them in heart shapes (cheesy I know!) or in ‘B’ for bride and ‘G’ for groom or even the bride and groom’s initials.

Even if …

MOO wedding photos

I absolutely love the MOO business cards and had some made myself featuring our wedding photos, engagement photos and some from our honeymoon. Such a great way to pass on your contact details if you meet old and new friends! A pack of 100 small mini cards cost me under £10.00 You can pick a hundred different designs - its funny when you see your friends trying to decide which one.
It all comes within a discreet little white box:

and voila:

and I have the code to give you 15% …

Throw the towel in!

I thought this would be an innovative wedding favour - getting towels made. One couple made unique pieces by professionally printed onto high-quality super-soft organic cotton tea towels. Showponey.co.uk can make these if you send them a digital image of you and your groom standing side on so your silhouettes can be accurately traced. The silhouettes will be added to the tea towel along with your names and the date of your wedding. The tea towels are available in 4 colours - Burnt Orange, Maroon, Teal and Grass Green, and …

A Perfect Match!

I saw these matchboxes at Cox & Cox’s websites. They look quite simple and sweet actually. The boxes contain the Oxford dictionary definition of marriage with the words ‘The Perfect Match’. Each box contains 24 safety-strike matches - useful for lighting anything from candles, gel candles, sparklers, and a great keepsake. A pack of 50 boxes cost £36… so quite a cheap and cheerful wedding favour.

Other couples have personalised their match boxes with their names:

If you were looking for some quotes to incorporate on the match boxes (warning: these …

Love ‘LOVE’?

I know it must seem a bit silly for me to pose this question but have you seen the sculptor of the LOVE sign with LO on top of VE? It is just so cute! Unless its trade marked, it would make such a cute favour as a candle or bookshelf stand or just a sculptor by itself. I’ve seen one of these at the art museum TATE but it retails for something like £40 and I thought it would make a lovely housewarming present for one of my design …

July 4th Inspired Wedding

With the American independence day just around the corner, it is no suprise that any couple having 4th July as their wedding date would also choose the true American colours of blue, red and white! (Very Tommy Hillfiger by the way) Also, the nautical theme has taken over the fashion world so you would find yourself very in vogue by choosing the same scheme.
So here are pictures of how one bride and groom incorporated these very American colours… and their wedding is coming up this weekend (I bet they cant …

Practical Table Arrangement tip

I saw this practical table arrangement tip on another wedding blog. The bride has decided to make a chart reflecting the actual location of the table. Then, all the wedding guests were listed in alphabetical order with the table name by the side.

The tables were named to reflect the story about the couple. E.g. the name of the university where they met. The guests were reported to have enjoyed discovering the story about the couple as they looked for their seats.

Just loooovely and really clever as well!

Peony Centre Pieces

My favourite thing about June is that it brings peonies. They are my favourite flowers ever because they are just so delicate and full flowers. My only regret is that I didnt have a wedding in June because that is usually Peony season. Last year, there were peonies up to the first week of August. I only saw them in one flowershop in Shad Thames but they had sold out the day before my wedding. The florist said it was unusual for them to last this long so if you …

Save Us a Spot!

I love stationary almost as much as cupcakes and I think wedding guests notice the smallest of details in the wedding starting with the invitations. The invitation itself represents the wedding and you can usually tell who skims and saves on their wedding depending on the type of invitations you receive. I’ve received post cards and one page handout invites that definitely set the tone for the wedding. Last year, I visited my friends home and she had three wedding invites on the mantle above the fireplace and was referring …
